It was the culture of India, when families were large and those joint families of India were social security in themselves. With the Western culture flourishing in Indian society, it has dented the very social fibre of India i . e "the joint families".
With the liberalization of the economy, money and products from the West entered in India, along with the Western culture. In the West, every citizen and its family enjoys the social security weather it is free Health care or free Education to the students.With the booming Western culture, first the metropolitans and then small cities got effected. Insecurity of micro families has grown to such an extent that new generation is running away from marriages and many are opting for live in-relations, which shatters the soul of Indian marriage. The divorce rates are ever high, people are losing patience, getting angry and even committing suicide.
